Sometimes the pieces that comprise a particular program just work together as they did in this concert [Cleveland Orchestra, Severance Hall, Cleveland, Ohio, USA, 27 September 2012]. Opening with Paul Hindemith's irreverent and cheerful Kammermusik No 1 for small orchestra was a bold move.
