Haydn's 'Creation' at Harrow School,

Harrow School continued its ambitious survey of choral masterpieces with a performance of Haydn's Creation on 19 March 2013. The more experienced Haydn became as a composer, the more youthful was his spirit as he meditated on the six-day wonders of the biblical universe. He dealt masterfully with primeval chaos, but had no intention of allowing God to rest on the seventh day, any more than he did himself, with schemes already taking shape for yet another mighty work inspired by his stay in England, The Seasons...
