Christmas music from Derby Concert Orchestra,

Derby Concert Orchestra's Christmas concert this year (Derby Cathedral, Derby, UK, 7 December 2013) promised 'Fairy tales and Fantasy'. So we started off in Oberon's magic kingdom, as evoked in the overture to Weber's last opera. With Jonathan Trout at the helm the performance had an exuberance and verve which also marked their reading of Saint-Saëns' Danse Macabre...
