On Saturday 14 December 2014 the Metropolitan Opera transmitted Giuseppe Verdi's last opera Falstaff live in high definition to more than sixty countries around the world. This reviewer saw it in Phoenix Arizona. Robert Carsen's updated production was new to the Met but had been seen in Europe.
