DEEPER PROBINGS
A recital by Jung-Gyung Park,

Whether or not it was the impact pianist Jong-Gyung Park made with her first recital for Derby Chamber Music in September 2012, her return visit was rewarded with a near-capacity audience (Multi-Faith Centre, Derby University, Derby UK, 14 February 2014).
She began with a mainly bright, sunny account of Schubert's A major Sonata, D 664. I generally prefer the middle movement's soulfulness to be a bit more understated, but the outer movements had a dancing grace and clarity that was very appealing...
