Verdi's Requiem, heard by MIKE WHEELER

Three years after inaugurating Derby's refurbished Roundhouse as a concert venue with a performance of Walton's Belshazzar's Feast, Derby Bach Choir and members of other local choirs returned to perform Verdi's Requiem (Derby, UK, 29 March 2014). The background hum from the building's heating/lighting is also still there, though with a little concentration this can be screened out, especially in a performance as compelling as this...
