Peter Gould's last full-scale organ recital
as Master of the Music at Derby Cathedral

Liszt's Fantasia and fugue on BACH is a work Peter Gould has consistently championed, and he chose it to open his programme, which brought to an end this year's series of Derby Cathedral summer organ recitals (Derby UK, 27 August 2014). Yes, all Liszt's flamboyant theatricality was in place, but there was also Peter Gould's quiet, almost secretive way with the opening of the Fugue to savour as well.
After a homage to J S Bach came the man himself...
