As I prepared to listen to this unfamiliar composer, I unwittingly stifled a yawn. Then, within the first bars, my undivided attention was captured. I discovered an unfailing clarity in Maurice Jacobson's workmanship.
His expertise was clear as themes were worked out with admirable craftsmanship...
