Few people are aware that Rome is an important place for ballet and thus for ballet music. There is a comparatively large audience. One theatre is devoted only to ballet (Il Vascello); another (Teatro Greco) has a ballet season for about half of the year. There are significant ballet sections in the programs of the Rome Philharmonic Society, of the RomeEurope Festival, of Musica per Roma as well as of the Via della Conciliazione Auditorium...
