Joaquín Turina was born in Seville in 1882, and it was in this historic and beautiful city that he received his first musical training. He was a child prodigy on the piano, and this instrument was to accompany him all his life. When he was twenty, he went to Madrid to continue his studies, but three years later he went to Paris to live, work and refine his skills as a composer. He stayed in Paris until the outbreak of the First World War in 1914, after which he returned to Madrid, adopting it as his permanent home...
