A visit from Osnabrück by the Marienkantorei,
for Elgar, Rheinberger and Mendelssohn,

Since the fire that put the Assembly Rooms out of action over four years ago, Derby has lacked a central venue for large-scale music performances. The Cathedral valiantly tries to plug the gap, but its limitations were evident when Derby Choral Union was joined by the Marienkantorei, its opposite number from Derby's German twin city, Osnabrück, and the Marienkantorei's own orchestra.
