Andy Garbi is an award-winning British musician who experiments with his voice (which spans four octaves) and creates ambient music. He has collaborated with various musicians and bands, including the violinist Nigel Kennedy. He is also involved with film music, and is influenced by the music of John Barry, Ennio Morricone and Henry Mancini. He has had no formal training in music, but was invited to study for a masters degree in composition at Birmingham University in 2003. He graduated in 2005, and was awarded the conservatoire's masters prize.
