John Ardoin (1935-2001)

American music critic and author John Ardoin died on 18 March 2001, aged 66. Known for his knowledge of conductors, opera, orchestras and singers, Ardoin had recently retired from the Dallas Morning News, where he had been a music critic for over three decades. He was also known for his books about Callas and Furtwängler.
