On balance Spanish (Latin) is the second most widely spoken language on earth; one step above English and a single rung behind Mandarin.

And where Spanish or Portugese is spoken, Iberian and Latin-American music is heard. It has a variety of forms: tango, flamenco, bossa nova, zarzuela, fandango, to name a few.
