Brazilian pianist Simone Leitão (born in Minas Gerais) began her early studies with Linda Bustani, Homero Magalhães and Fernanda Canaud. She has a BM in Music Education from the Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (1993), a Master in Music in Piano Performance from Norges Musikkhögskole, Oslo (1996), a degree in piano performance and musicology at the University of Miami, Frost School of Music (1999) and has taken numerous masterclasses.

Since her 1987 Rio de Janeiro debut at the Brazilian Conservatory, Leitão has performed as soloist and chamber music player in Brazil, USA, Denmark, Switzerland, Germany and Norway. She frequently appears in China and is Artistic Director of 'Brasil Classical'...
