At seventeen, Lisa (Rodney Friend's daughter) won a Scholarship to the Royal College of Music. where she studied with Susan Milan. Twice winner of the Martin Music Scholarship she went on to study at the Paris Conservatoire with Alain Marion and Ida Ribera.

Given Friend's beauteous tone and distinct ease of delivery I found myself nodding off more than once...
