The series Wigmore Hall Emerging Talent is going to result in many young singers coming to the fore on the international scene. Young Bavarian soprano Christiane Karg [heard 19 July 2012 at Wigmore Hall, London UK with Malcolm Martineau at the piano] has an extraordinary voice with a purity of sound and an intelligence that has placed her firmly in solo recitals at locations throughout the world and appearances on the stages of Frankfurt Opera, Bayerische Staatsoper, Komische Oper Berlin, Opera de Lille and the Theater an der Wien. Her roles have included Musetta, Norina, Anne Truelove (The Rake's Progress), Ismene (Mitridate) and Telaire in Castor and Pollux. Her concert appearances include Mostly Mozart Festival and the Salzburg Easter Festival with the Dresden Staatskapelle, the Schwarzenberg Schubertiade at the Mozarteum Salzburg and the Musikverein in Vienna...
