Haydn, Sibelius and Beethoven
from the Dante Quartet

Sibelius' only major mature chamber work, his D minor String Quartet, has still not really secured the place at the heart of the quartet repertoire it deserves. No doubt it will be getting more attention in this, his one-hundred-and-fiftieth anniversary year.
One of the work's latest champions, the Dante Quartet, placed it at the centre of their programme rounding off Derby Chamber Music's 2014-15 season (Multi-Faith Centre, Derby University, Derby, UK, 10 April 2015)...
