But this attempt in fact stretches much wider than jazz — there are influences from various world musics, plus Tin Pan Alley, Broadway and other forms of Americana as well. Which might cause others who bolt at the thought of 'crossover' to do just that. They'd be missing out actually, although this is certainly not an album for purists of any stripe...
