The Elias Quartet is one of the most talented of the many UK ensembles that have recently established themselves. The group's Buxton Festival appearance (Pavilion Arts Centre, Buxton, UK, 10 July 2016) began with Haydn's Quartet Op 76 No 5. They were fully engaged with his elegant games with the audience's expectations in the opening movement, culminating in an effervescent reading of the quick final section...
