I always enjoy these events [Swiss Ambassador's Award Concert, Wigmore Hall, London UK, 19 October 2011]. During the interval, I made myself known to all the Ambassador's staff, making sure that they knew that I intend becoming available for all their functions in Central London. I have attended two previous to this, and the high standard of musicianship shown has encouraged me to support their world aims to bring music, performed by up-and-coming artists, to audiences who have a deep regard for and knowledge in listening to the great works, past and present.
Lionel Cottet is no stranger to these shores, having performed with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields and orchestras at other locations that include the Zurich Tonhalle and the Warsaw Philharmonic...
