Alice Sara Ott, piano
Queen Elizabeth Hall
22 November 2011

After enjoying Alice Sara Ott's performance of the Grieg Piano Concerto at the 2011 BBC Proms, I looked forward to her South Bank recital. In every way, it proved outstanding.

The twenty-three-year-old German Japanese artist has a typical charisma that immediately compels international audiences: she is beautiful and has an arresting platform manner. Her wonderfully assured technique and musicianship includes a wide range of repertoire, and listeners adore her interpretations...
