In this (2014), their twentieth year together, the Bloomington-based Pacifica Quartet has indisputably acheived a secure niche in the American chamber music landscape.
During 2006 the Quartet featured on the cover of Gramophone and was heralded one of 'five new quartets you should know about': the only US quartet to make the list. In 2009, it was named 'Ensemble of the Year' by Musical America.
In 2011-12, the Pacifica played the Shostakovich quartet cycle in London's Wigmore Hall to great acclaim...
