Handel in the Wind -
'... Piers Adams riding the surf at breakneck speed.'
Red Priest is a musical tongue-in-cheek baroque quartet comprising recorder(s), violin, cello and harpsichord. It has some, though limited, similarities with the late Ward Swingle (1927-2015) and his scat-style Swingle Singers, with the Festivals of Gerard Hoffnung (1925-1959) and also with works of Peter Schickele (born 1935), otherwise known as P D Q Bach.
The swashbuckling quartet has been variously mentioned in the same breath as the Rolling Stones, Jackson Pollock, the Marx Brothers, the Goon Show, Spike Jones and Cirque du Soleil. To those I'd add Monty Python...
